Gumnut Glow is a colourful still life work featuring a collection of my favourite things to paint- native flora, glass vases and afternoon light.
I find the afternoon the most magical time of day. The brief window of time when the house is filled with golden light streaming through the windows before the sun dips down below the neighbouring house always fills me with joy.
I always have a collection of native plants and flowers collected from bush walks with the kids dotted around the house. These gumnuts are so quintessentially Australian.
