The transformative power of light is an ongoing exploration in my practice. This little corner of my studio, was lit up one morning in spectacular fashion by the morning rays, and it was a scene I just had to paint. I find the challenge of painting glass and its subtle tonal intricacies endlessly satisfying. The beauty of these utilitarian objects really shine (excuse the pun). It brings out in me an admiration of both their form, and the mystifying process that goes into making such fine and complex objects.
