At home with plants 2 is a still life study of an arrangement I put together during Covid lockdown. It was difficult to find the usual array of inspiration when cooped up in the house. This arrangement, featured a book from my collection titled ‘At Home with Plants’ with a succulent cutting I managed to forage from one of my daily walks around the block. ‘At Home with Plants’ seemed a very apt title and subject to represent my time in lockdown. This painting is kept intentionally loose compared to some of my other work, with visible brush strokes and a more expressive finish.
